This weekend marked the ‘clash’ of MLS originals on the 20th Anniversary of the inaugural MLS match between DC United and the San Jose Clash, now Earthquakes. For such a historic match, the Earthquakes made sure it was going to be a memorable night for fans, former players/coaches/staff, and sponsors.
Ahead of the game, the Earthquakes dedicated a section of their website to the history of that first match and sharing tons of content around that original team, MLS, and life in the 90s. Throwback t-shirt replicas, programs, merchandise, food + drink vouchers, and food trucks marked onsite activations by game sponsor Gyft, who is also the Official Digital Card of the Earthquakes.
