This is an awesome initiative on multiple levels from my hometown Union.
15 players including Andre Blake, Alejandro Bedoya, Charlie Davies, Mo Edu, C.J. Sapong and more will custom designed cleats during warmups ahead of the Union hosting the Chicago Fire on September 23rd.
These aren’t just any custom designed cleats, however. These are designed by 15 pediatric cancer patients who the Union have been working with all season. Following the match, players and kids will autograph the cleats and then swap them to remember the collaboration.
