It’s ‘final four’ week in the U.S. Open Cup, American soccer’s oldest ongoing Cup competition, as New England Revolution host Chicago Fire on Tuesday as LA Galaxy host FC Dallas on Wednesday.
Earlier this year, we wrote about our love for this tournament and our belief that it holds great potential for the right brand partner. One more step in the Cup’s evolution and credibility starts tomorrow as participating teams make their debut on ESPN networks for the first time ever in a semi-final round.
Whether you’re a dyed-in-the-wool supporter for any of these ‘final four’ teams, or someone who’s interested in learning more about the uniqueness of a Cup competition, we hope you can make time to tune in and check it out. Two great matchups should produce some quality do-or-die soccer and lead us into an epic Final on September 21 (also on ESPN Networks).
