Last week Carly and I took a break from working in the world of soccer marketing to experience some European adventures.
While we started off as tourists in Greece, we couldn’t stay away from the beautiful game for long. After a few days taking in Athens and relaxing in Santorini, we traveled to Paris. In addition to the obligatory trip to the Eiffel Tower, we swung by Parc des Princes and got a private tour of Paris St. Germain’s home ground and facilities by our client partners at the club. We were super impressed by the tour and everything the club had to offer.
From Paris, we journeyed to London to catch the Premier League match between the last two league champions – Chelsea and Leicester City – from Stamford Bridge. The atmosphere and match were top notch, with Chelsea winning comfortably at home 3-0. Following the match, we ventured to Frankie’s Pub right next to the stadium. While there, we even had a celebrity moment and bumped in to Arsenal (and New York Red Bulls) legend Thierry Henry. Unfortunately no pics of that encounter.
Overall it was an incredible trip that we won’t soon forget!
