Atlanta United have reached an agreement with Fox Sports South and Fox Sports Southeast to televise nineteen games to regional audiences. Their other 15 games have already been picked up by national television including Fox Sports, ESPN, and Univision.
Hopes are high for the expansion team heading into their inaugural season. With a high profile coach in Tata Martino and a roster of young, attacking talent, fans are equally excited. So far, more than 27,000 season tickets have been sold. They’ll play in Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium for the first half of the season while Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which they’ll share with the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, is being completed.
With their new television deal reaching between 7 million and 10 million households across the entire Southeast – from the Mississippi River, to Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina, and into eastern North Carolina – Atlanta United have the chance to be the team of the entire region.
