Los Angeles has always been an important place for the continued nurturing and growth of soccer in America thanks to the city’s blend of culture, art, and creativity. From artists to freestylers to pick-up leagues, there are a variety of tastemakers doing their part to expose new audiences to the sport.
The Association is one of the more recent LA ventures illustrating the passion Angelinos have for the sport. Presented by adidas, The Association is a soccer league where local companies and brands… like Space X, Complex, Niky’s, Beats by Dre, FourTwoFour, Red Bull… all formed teams to compete against one another. In addition to employees from the companies, each team drafted soccer influencers identified by The Association and adidas.
For its ability to bring local influencers, tastemakers, and brands together, The Association is something to watch as the model could be replicated elsewhere in the country.
