According to research we conducted in 2020, 59 percent of American soccer fans favor commentators and analysts who have British accent. Is that surprising? Does that seem high?
If we break it down by age brackets, you likely won’t be surprised to learn Gen X fans have the highest affinity toward British accents, with 67 percent indicating this preference. Conversely, Gen Z, the youngest group we surveyed, have the lowest level of preference for the British accent with only 51 percent indicating this preference.
