Excellent question and it’s matured as fandom for the sport has matured. The average age of soccer fans in America is 35 – right in the Millennial sweet spot. Soccer fans are young, tech savvy, and connected to an ever-changing global world.
Roughly half (46%) of soccer fans in America are Millennials. Add in the percentage of fans who are Gen Z-aged and you suddenly realize nearly 70 percent of soccer fans in America are younger than 40 years old. This is a great sign for the continued health and growing interest in the sport here in the U.S.
