Detroit City FC Reach A Major Investment Milestone

Detroit City FC prides itself on being authentic and having a vision to help showcase the passion of fans in what many outsiders believe to be a dying city. From a soccer standpoint, these outsiders couldn’t be more wrong. The club, which plays in the Great Lakes Conference of National Premier League Soccer, the 4th Division of U.S. Soccer and three levels below MLS, just announced they’ve secured $400,000 in funding from a community financing campaign, which was only open to Michigan residents. The financing will allow them to renovate 80-year-old Keyworth Stadium to give the team a permanent home, which they will share with Hamtramck Public Schools and will be ready by the start of their season in mid-May.
