Last night the United States National Women’s Soccer team were crowned the World Cup champions for the 3rd time since 1991. This, along with countless Olympic medals, makes them the most dominant force in women’s soccer in the past 30 years. This is the story that is making all the news headlines but another big story is that last night’s match became the most watched soccer match in US history. Telemundo and Fox combined to see over 26 million American’s watch the game. At it’s peak 30% of televisions in household across America were tuned in to watch their women lift the trophy.
