As promised, we’ve evolved our Soccer on TV tracking and will be releasing monthly recaps moving forward. January was a great month for soccer with almost 25 different leagues and competitions featured, including everything from the Florida Cup to the Bundesliga to the Copa Centroamericano. Every day of the month featured at least one match on TV.
We’ve also added two new sections to our infographic to keep expanding the TV conversation: the top five most-viewed matches of the month and the match that garnered the most social conversation.
If you’re a Liverpool fan, you knew their January schedule was busy, but did you realize they played nine games over the course of the month? From Premier League matches, to FA Cup replays, and a two-legged League Cup semifinal, all nine of their games were broadcast on U.S. television.
