Last week, Major League Soccer released its list of the top 25 selling jerseys of the 2019 season. The league’s highest-selling jersey goes to… drum roll please… Zlatan Ibrahimović, the league’s most globally recognized star. This marks the second time The Lion has led the league in jersey sales.
Finishing just behind Zlatan are his fellow MVP finalists – Josef Martinez in second and Carlos Vela in third. Josef Martinez finishing second is a testament to the value of a rabid fanbase such as those in Atlanta who have taken to the club and continue to show their support in various ways. That fan support can also be seen in markets like Seattle who have placed a total of FOUR players in the top 25, including the highest ranked American, Jordan Morris.
Without further ado, here is the top 25 in jersey sales on MLSstore.com. Are there any players you’re surprised to see? Not see?
