A look back at this past weekend’s AO Rally in Austin, TX

It’s a busy year for the American Outlaws, the official U.S. Soccer Supporter’s Group, with the United States hosting the Copa America Centenario this summer for the USMNT and the USWNT aiming for another Olympic gold medal in August.

We previously interviewed co-founder Justin Brunken on what AO has planned ahead of this milestone year. One of those events was the return of the AO Rally, which last happened in 2011. This year’s rally was held in Austin over the weekend and saw AO members from more than 50 of its nearly 190 national chapters converge on the Texas capital.

Media members and former players who spoke during multiple panels and keynotes included: Sports Illustrated’s Grant Wahl, U-20 MNT Manager and former USMNT player Tab Ramos, former USMNT player Kristine Lilly, USMNT and MLS veteran Jimmy Conrad, and Roger Bennett of Men in Blazers, who delivered the key note. Other activities include a “Tifo 101” workshop and a round of foot golf. Here’s a look at some of the action from the weekend:
